1 Magical water binding ability
Ecotin is an amino acid derivative and belongs to the category of Extremolytes stress protection factors. This stress protection factor is a small molecule with anti-stress protection function, which can protect extremophiles and plants from deadly and extreme environments in their habitats, such as salt lakes, hot springs, permanent ice or deserts. Several clinical and in vivo studies have confirmed that tetrahydromethylpyrimidine carboxylic acid has clear anti-aging and excellent cell protection properties.
The Ectoin protection mechanism is very simple, but very effective: due to the existence of the protective shell, the stress factor can no longer damage the cells, by building a strong protective layer of water molecules in the skin. Its powerful binding water molecules protect the cell membrane from water (1 mol of Ectoin can bind 4 or 5 mol of water, and can protect DNA from damage), and has been used as a protective solution for organ transplantation in the medical field

Use cosmetic preparations (2mg/cm 2) containing 0% (control), 0.5% and 1% Ectoin
It was applied to the skin of the palm forearm of five volunteers twice a day for 12 days. Measure skin hydration by Corneometry from day 8 to day 12 (A)

The results of the study emphasize the outstanding activity of Ecotin: 8 days after application, the hydration was significantly increased to 200% compared to placebo-treated skin and remained constant until the end of the test period.
